Karate!

We started Carly in Karate this week. She seems to really enjoy it and I can already see some of the attitude they are taught coming through at home...this is a good thing! Tonight she was awarded her first belt, the white belt. She should graduate belt colors every two months. In order to move up to the next belt she must earn three black stripes and one red stripe on her current belt (it's colored electrical tape they put on their belts). In the white uniform, they earn White, Gold, and Orange. Once she completes these belts she gets a blue uniform and must go through the process of earning the Green, Purple, Purple Stripe, Blue, Blue Stripe, Red, Red Stripe, Brown and Brown Stripe. After she completes all these she gets the Red Uniform and starts on her levels of Black belt degrees. (I know, it seems like a lot!)

She is in front of the red uniform instructor getting her belt. The teachers wear black uniforms.

WANTED: Walmart Thief

White Female
Approx. 3feet
Approx. 40lbs
Blond Hair/Blue Eyes

- Wanted for theft of Tinkerbell phone from Walmart check-out aisle around 10:00 AM while shopping with Father. I have attached a photo of the taken merchandise.

Below is the photo of the wanted individual.

If you see this individual, please contact "crimestoppers." DO NOT APPROACH! Tantrums can and will happen.

*She was sneaky enough, that the incident was not discovered until 3pm. She knew enough to not play with the phone in the suburban where her father would hear it. She also was able to sneak it up to her room where her older sister "miss Tattle-tale" discovered it and told on her.

Christmas Cookies.

Saturday we got together and made Christmas cookies: peanut butter blossoms, cream-cheese spritz, frosted sugar cookies, and Andes mint cookies.

For some reason the kids were stingy on the frosting but overloaded with sprinkles.

Thanksgiving Pictures

Black Friday was Birthday Friday for us. The girls got to celebrate their birthday's again at Grandma C's in Manitowoc.

Abby even got a present!

Can't remember if Carly or Zoey took this picture, not bad!

MMmmm, Ice-cream cake!

Had to get Aunt A in the pic because her Birthday is Nov. 30th.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving turned out great....I just forgot to take pictures! Paul's mom and dad joined us along with his brother and brother's girlfriend. I probably made way too much turkey, since I still have about 10 lbs of it in my fridge. But it works great for leftovers. I made the usual to go with the Turkey, stuffing, potatoes and yams. The only vegetable I made was a broccoli salad with bacon, sunflower seeds, and craisins. Everyone loved it, there is none left. We had one pumpkin pie and one cherry pie.

WILD AIR Birthday Party

Today we had the BIRTHDAY PARTY! The girls were sooooo excited. We went to "Wild Air." They specialize in the air/blow up bouncy toys.

Carly's Birthday

The 18th was Carly's 7th Birthday. She is all TEETH! She got a chocolate cake and presents after her fried chicken supper with noodles and green beans.

School Concert

On the 18th the girls had their school concert from 2:15 to 3:15. They both sang and did a good job. The photos are not the best. The gym was packed with parents and grandparents. I showed up 15 minutes early thinking it wasn't such a big deal, but I couldn't find a seat. Carly's in the first photo with a the arrow, Zoey's in the second with the arrow.

Family Photo

Every year the girls bring home some assignment that requires a family photo... I never have one. This is the best I could do, Troy's the only one missing. I guess it's something we have to work on.

Princess Puffs

The girls and I got bored one day and decided we should make a recipe out of the books they got from Christmas last year. We decided on Princess Puff because I had all the ingredients and it seemed simple enough to make. Not to mention DELICIOUS!

They melted in your mouth. YUM!

3 egg whites
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
2 to 3 drops of food coloring
Sprinkles or edible decorations

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Line two cookie sheets with foil. In a large bowl, whip egg whites until soft peaks form. With mixer on, slowly add sugar, a tablespoon at a time. Add cream of tartar, vanilla or almond extract, and food coloring. Continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
Spoon mounds onto foil lined sheets, space about 1/2 inch apart. Sprinkle with decor.
Place both cookie sheets on middle rack of the preheated oven and bake 1 hour. Then turn off oven and leave oven door door closed for 10 minutes. Remove puffs from baking sheets and store in air tight container.
